I can’t believe it’s already that time of the year, but happy pride month, lovelies!!! As usual, I compiled (almost?) all of the LGBTQ+ YA releases of this year to celebrate. You can view the lists from the previous years here:
As always, thank you thank you to Charlotte, who co-runs readsrainbow (a blog dedicated to LGBT media), along with Anna, for sending me the bulk of this list. I am forever grateful; please go follow them! This is a list of YA releases, but they are a great resource for LGBT novels for all age ranges, as is LGBTQ Reads (run by Dahlia Adler).
What’s a better way to celebrate Pride 2022 than going through this list of 200+ books detailed with all the representation I could find? (It was an effort of some 30+ hours rip.) So without further ado, here is a list of all the LGBTQ+ YA releases in 2022!

Of course, I am only human and there are bound to be errors in this post. If you see any mistakes, please let me know and I’ll fix it as soon as I can! * I tried to note any representation as detailed as I could, but I haven’t read most of this list and had to rely on other people’s reviews. Let me know if there’s something on-page that’s not noted here!
* If you are an author and would like me to edit or remove any personal information I have listed, I am more than happy to do so! Please message me and I will change it as soon as I can.
Also, I tried to include content warnings where I could, but please know that I could not find them for every single book. I would recommend you look into any content warnings before reading instead of depending on this post for them!
A typical disclaimer: this is more of a masterlist than a recommendation list. Again, I have not read most of the books on this list, so I cannot vouch for all of them. There are also a few books by authors who are known to have done some questionable and problematic things; if you’re curious, you can message me and I can let you know which of these are on the list. I don’t mean to stop you from reading this books, which is why they’re still on the list, but I personally do not support them and their actions. I encourage you to make your own judgments; you can often go through reviews before deciding to read a book as well.
Again, this post was a combined some-30+ hours of work. If you would like to support me (and independent bookstores!), please shop from my affiliate lists on Bookshop! This list is split into 4 different parts on Bookshop because it’s so long; check them all out below:
